More Information About the
Coonamessett River Coalition

The Coonamessett River Coalition was formed by a group of individuals and organizations in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Realizing that the goal of protecting and enhancing the health of the River was shared by people for many different reasons, we formed a coalition to focus on this issue together.

We have compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions, information on organically produced cranberries, data on pesticides recently applied to town-owned wetlands, a brief history of the Coonamessett River, and a list of pertinent references. Please check the links above for important information.

We are grateful to our Town Meeting members for the passage of two Articles in the Spring Special Town Meeting. These articles set goals for the Board of Selectmen and the Conservation Commission, the stewards of this property. These articles direct those boards to begin the restoration process on the public lands along the Coonamessett River.

We are available for informal presentations if your group would like to learn more about this issue.

    Please join us.
