The Coonamessett River Coalition was formed by a group of individuals and
organizations in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Realizing that the goal of protecting and
enhancing the health of the River was shared by people for many different reasons,
we formed a coalition to focus on this issue together.
We have compiled a list of

organically produced cranberries,
data on pesticides recently applied to town-owned wetlands, a brief history of the
Coonamessett River, and a list of pertinent references.

We are grateful to our Town Meeting members for the passage of two Articles in the Spring
Special Town Meeting. These articles set goals for the Board of Selectmen
and the Conservation Commission, the stewards of this property.
These articles direct those boards to begin the restoration process on
the public lands along the Coonamessett River.
